This place does a world of good as a HUGE animal liver myself. I actually prefer the company of animals to people. I do not believe in kill shelters and feel those who willingly kill our most innocent in this World are just as evil. However, that said, the group of individuals at the Veterans fair a couple months back were kind, caring, and professional through and through offering to help Veterans with pets free food and supplies for their 'kids'.

The staff were informative, friendly and compassionate. We got the absolute BEST adoption when we took home Damon, a 65+ Staffordshire Terrier mix.....he is such a big sweetheart.....was even received by our 8 year old calico cat.

The staff here is kind, thorough, & really cares about the animals! They absolutely check found pets for microchips and do everything possible to reunite lost pets with their families. Director Angela Hollinshead is running a great program! Flyers have great info about different support programs to help pet owners and there was even free pet food available in the lobby when I was there to pick up my dog 🐕 who was found after being lost for 18 months! I can't thank them (Natalie 👍🏻) enough! 😁

Well they helped me find a dog for my mom. Thought that was cool so went back for one for myself and they said no! They wanted to draw all these conclusions that werent real and were just excuses to bot allow me to adopt. Then they settled with its our policy! Please beware before you drop dogs here because this makes it harder to adopt. You should go to humane society of west michigan they seem much more organized

My wife and I came in yesterday with two dogs we saved from being hit. What happed next shocked us. Instead of thanking us it became an accusation. The Gaul of the staff claiming 'we can help you finanically with them' We politely told them what happened .The assumption that everyone doesn't care about pets except them INFURIATES ME! It makes me wonder how do they really treat the poor babies that can't hear that they are taking care of. Thank God their mommy n daddy got them!!
