Kaiser Pet Care

I cannot recommend Kaiser Pet Care enough. Laura truly cares about her craft and, most importantly, the well-being of every dog she works with. My 8-year-old miniature schnauzer, Duncan, has been going to her for 7 years now. Duncan is a reactive dog and is fearful of both new and familiar people, which can make grooming stressful. Laura has been incredibly patient and intentional with him. She even created a customized, low-stress handoff process for drop-offs that works specifically for Duncan. That level of thoughtfulness means everything to me as a dog owner. If you have a nervous, reactive, or easily scared dog, this is absolutely the place to go. They are kind, accommodating, and truly understand how to work with anxious dogs in a calm and compassionate way. I’m so grateful we found

My standard poodle absolutely loves coming to see Kaiser pet grooming. She knows when we are going and looks forward to it. Ruby is Groomed with care, is given lots of love and has absolutely no fear of having her nails, her eyes or her beard trimmed. It goes to show how spectacular they are in that she does not mind having her inner ears attended to as well. Laura and her team are True animal lovers and take great care and responsibility with their role and how they care for our pets.

We have taken our dogs to see Laura for many years and she is by far the best dog groomer/trainer you can find. The dogs will not be in a cage at all. My dogs were afraid of grooming until they started going see Laura. She is so gentle with dogs, treat them with so much patience and care. She respects how each dog behaves and train them not to be fearful. Because of her advice, we started knowing our dogs better and had better relationship with them. It is a long drive to see her but it is totally worthwhile.

Updating as the owner is bothered that my review did not include a description and she only offers a partial truth. I submitted a form for a behavioral consultation with Laura from Kaiser Pet Care early December. She called me on December 5th as she indicated. As part of that discussion, she told me that dogs on anti-anxiety medications are unable to escalate their behavior from less aggressive signs (e.g. cowering) to more aggressive signs (e.g. growling or biting), therefore she requires that all dogs be off anti-anxiety medication for at least a month prior to providing any training. While I appreciate the owner recognizing the limitations of her abilities, I was deeply disturbed that a non-medical professional would make such a sweeping statement on all anti-anxiety medications for all
