I am beyond grateful for Rachel with The Empty Shelter Project and all the great people at K9 Angels. What they did for me and my animals was truly life changing. Through them my two cats and my dog were spayed for free, my dog’s nails were clipped, and all of my animals received flea and tick treatment and were microchipped at no cost. The level of care and generosity they showed is something I will never forget. I have rescued all of my animals and financially I could not have afforded these services on my own. Rachel stepped in without hesitation and treated us with so much kindness compassion and respect. She never made me feel judged or overwhelmed only supported. We adopted our most beloved Blue from K-9 Angels in 2014. He’s the one with sunglasses. He was the sweetest dog but unfortunately passed away in 2021 after a battle with Cushing’s disease. Based on that experience, I would have given this rescue 5 stars. However, our most recent experience with K-9 Angels was miserable. After our older rescue dog, Buddy, passed at age 15 in 2022, we were finally ready this year to rescue a new pup after losing our dogs so close to each other. We applied for one of the dogs on their website. We provided 60+ pages of vet records for Buddy and Blue dating back to 2013, but that apparently wasn’t good enough, because we didn’t specifically have heartworm medication receipts for our dogs that passed away over 3 years ago (although the vet records did have pro

My husband and I would like to take a moment to thank everyone at K-9 Angels Rescue for completing our home with Charlie, aka Charlie Girl, or Sweet Thing! Charlie is a wonderful addition to our family along with our other fur babies, Sophia (Boxer/Lab Mix), Winchester (Black Mouth Cur Mix) and Binx (Tuxedo cat). She is acclimating so well with all her siblings and we could not be happier! She loves to play with the other pups and she also loves when she gets some alone time to play with Mr. Binx! She will soon learn how to swim and go for walks (once she has all of her shots) but for now she has everyone running around trying to keep up with her!
