I researched and visited with a few dog trainers and their facilities before choosing Jacob. I wanted to feel completely comfortable that my pup, Coco, would be in a loving, caring, and clean environment. Coco was 5 months old when she was in Jacob's 6-week Board and Training program. It was money well spent. She went in as a very energetic, leash-pulling, jumping pup and graduated with so much discipline and control of her energy!! Jacob trained her in the very necessary commands: sit, stay, down, come, heel, and place. During the time Coco was in training, Jacob kept me up-to-date with her progress through text messages of photos and videos!! I used Jacob for my Ridgeback . These dogs are known for being strong (I have friends where their ridgeback pulled out their socket while on a walk). I knew that I wanted to get our dog trained right away. I called all training places and then talked to Jacob on the phone . His program was comparable if not cheaper than most , he had more play time, the facility is amazing, and he trained with me as well. We knew right away we wanted to go with him. Also I was pregnant and knew we neeeddd our pup trained . Fast forward to now, we have the best most well behaved dog . We bring our big 90lb dog with us . We take him to a store and he sits and doesn’t move u til we release him. He goes on walks off leash , the kids can pull his ears tails or put their hands while he eats and he never reacts t

We brought a very stubborn, strong, shepherd/ Doberman mix, hoping for a big change. She is very strong, and has a very strong prey-drive, so after a few catastrophic and dangerous incidences, we went to Jacob, after our daughter’s enthusiastic recommendation. Daisy was also very reactive to dogs, making it nearly impossible to take her anywhere. After Jacob’s board/train program, she was transformed. She walks to heel—no more pulling—great recall— and her reactivity is gone. We are no longer afraid to take her out in public. She no longer requires treats for obedience, and responds more quickly to commands. Jacob was kind, careful, and developed a great relationship with our dog. I strongly recommend Jacob for both boarding and training.

Jacob was a great trainer. My dog Nazca is a very difficult min pin chi. She absolutely hates everyone she doesn’t know. On the first day, he got her to sit on his lap, which was impressive. She needed 8 weeks of training due to her aggressive and stubborn personality. The day I got her back, my husband and I could see a difference. She assesses the situation instead of just reacting to other dogs. For example, when there were 3 dogs barking at her through a fence she seemed to pause and calm herself down and not react to them. I also took her to a beach dog park and two dogs came to sit with me and she was perfectly fine smelling them. She is able to sit patiently and wait for me to finish a cup of coffee at the coffee shop instead of whining and being over the top. For example, she was

This time last year, when I walked my dog Remy, it felt like I was along for a water-skiing ride! He dragged us along, and nothing I did could get him to stop pulling. It was brutal! A few months back, I decided it was time for help. We went with the 6 week option, and I couldn't be happier! Today, Remy and I just completed a 4-mile hike, and he stayed in the "heel" position the whole time! No more dragging me along, tripping me up, stopping abruptly, zig-zagging across the path! I lead and Remy stays at my side, with the leash loose in my hand. Jacob put me back in charge, gave me the tools I needed to direct Remy, and set us up for a much happier and healthier life! I would highly recommend him to any family needing help with their dog.
