Joyce's Dog Grooming School

I do not recommend using this school or business. They use dawn soap on dogs which strip natural oils from the coat and I also witnessed them reusing towels on dogs from different owners over a period of several days. Hair is supposed to be cleaned in between grooms from one dog to the next and isn't. They do not sanitize the kennels or baths between pets as is required by the state. It's a good place to pick up less than ideal habits for a big price. However, on the brightside they are gentle with the pets.

My Aunt Jody, was trained by Joyce 12 years ago and tells me that Joyce is fantastic. That after attending her school she opened a successful grooming shop in Little Falls NJ. She says that Joyce taught her that animals are beautiful and that they need so much love. She also taught her that grooming goes hand by hand with loving and caring about the pets. My aunt owes Joyce so much and would recommend her very highly. She is one in a million.

loved my time here! very laid back and relaxed. The best way to learn is hands on. You're working on dogs everyday practicing. You first learn how to properly bathe dogs of different sizes, then you move to shaving, then sissoring and then to their faces. Small class size of 3 so you always are getting the help you need. Going to be sad to leave next week!

I called for pricing and details on what was offered. One on one instruction for 8 weeks, 4 days a week, 2 dogs a day. Sounds great, right? Nothing available for 4 months and the cost is $10,000.00!!! Not a misprint! TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! And the only explaination I received for such a large amount was, quote "grooming is a very lucrative business" end quote. That's an obscene amount of money for 8 weeks of anything!!! My son paid half that for 2 years of medical training!! Ridiculous!

I've heard awful things about this "school" from several people. Will not use.
