They aren't clear on what you suppose to do when you get there. And after you go to the building without you pet to check them in they give you a list of papers with all the things your dog needs or has to get to be able to recovery properly. The list isn't short and they charge on each section an extra price, so your 60 dollar neutering cost you at least an extra 75 dollars, when you xould go to your hometown vet and not deal this all the cray chaos surrounding this place. When you go to pick up your dog at 4 they pile everyone into their front office and bring pets out, not giving me any education on what to do just hands you a paper and you take your pet home. FYI get a cone always that's an extra 15 dollars

Went up to get one of our kittens spayed, was supposed to be 2 but couldn't put both in the carrier. They get up there and one person tells them to go there. The other tells them to go to the back of the line. My mother innocently said oh sorry didn't know never been here, figuring we had an appointment for a specific time. This person says rudely, now you know... She also said very crudely, we'll let you know if we pay you the $45 back for only bringing one cat in. The vet said they were going to clip the ear, my mother told them not to do that she's an inside cat. Not sure if they listened yet, pick her up tomorrow. Couldn't go to our vet because he's booked up, very busy man. *Update* My mother told them not to clip the ears and they did anyways... Then had the audacity to tell my mot

I adopted my best friend from here about 8 years ago. He was the best. This past week i had to do the hardest thing ever and let him go due to his health, and JHS are doing his creamation. They are very caring and not charging an arm and leg to do it.. I want to Thank them for the sympathy card they sent and for being so kind and understanding during thid difficult time..... Buddy was a wonderful pitty and is very missed...

I got a Manchester terrier and he is great! Could be the greeter at Walmart he loves everyone. He is a great watch dog! He is 5 now. I changed his name to Jake he is groomed every month. He sleeps with me and protects everything.

The minute I walked in the Joplin Humane Society, the energy was enormous! I brought my 2 yr old Pit in for neutering. I was very nervous, anxious and little scared, and so was my dog. But that didn’t last long, because they took over! Meaning, each person had a job to do, & they did it . I have to holla at the big guy “Andy” he knew all the ends and outs of everything . He kept me calm , cuz he was confident in his job!! They were all confident !! Wow ! what a beautiful place!! I am so proud of our Joplins Humane Society!! Thank You So Much !! You’re all HEROS !!!
