Hi, I am still grieving the loss of my Gunner. He passed away just last saturday (september 20, 2025) . He was such a beautiful dog and the best of friends. He stopped eating one day. He was eating less and less till he stopped completely. I did have a problem getting an appointment. Thats the only bad thing I can say, and its only because they didnt have any "urgent" openings that day, but had urgent openings for the next day but I had to call the next morning to get one of those openings. It took me 3 days to get an appointment. I dont understand why if she can look and see openings for tomorrow, why I had to call tomorrow morning to get it? That was frustrating. Once there, we were greeted with nothing but compassion and understanding. From the front desk,to vet tech, to Dr. Claycomb

I had an amazing first visit at Johnstown Veterinary Office today. My rescued senior dog got salt on his pads and was shaking terribly with pain. I was a wreck as I had never seen him shake like this. The office girls quickly got a towel and water and took special care of him. The vet technician checking us in was so compassionate. Dr. Assad was gentle and calming to Fatz at he examined him. His knowledge and expertise put me at ease. Needless to say I am an overprotective dog mother. This office has the best staff I have ever experienced at a vet office. I was glad to have the opportunity to experience their kindness as I do animal rescue and refer a lot of people to their office. Thank you to everyone that cared for Fatz today. Dr Assad is the Best.

I can not say enough great things about these people. I have been taking my multiple cats, yes I’m a cat lady, there ever since we moved to the area. They really do care about your pets here. Unfortunately, I had two bonded elder sister cats who both had separate issues. The first to go was my beloved Zoe who had tumors and I was well informed that the surgery that was performed might not be enough to save her. Everything was always explained to me in great detail and choices were always offered. They tried to help save her but unfortunately it was her time. About a year after she passed my beloved Nayla starting deteriorating which I’ve been told is common to occur with bonded animals. We tried medication which helped for a while until it no longer did. Letting them both go in a short am

A few days ago, I brought my sick kitten, Nyla, in for an emergency visit. Poor Nyla didn’t make it, and passed away that very day. However, I want to commend Dr. Assad and the staff for what I consider to be going above and beyond in showing kindness and respect. Missy waited on me, and was extremely kind and understanding, as were all of the women. Dr. Assad was gentle and respectful, but also pointedly honest, as well, which I much appreciate. At any rate, I am extremely grateful, and honored to claim you as my veterinarians. 🙏

I just wanted to come on here and leave a positive review. Before Christmas, I lost a fur baby. He was part of our family for only three short years. He turned three on December 16th a few days short of Christmas. A couple days after his birthday we took him to be seen at the veterinary clinic. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to keep our cat, we went from options of having to give him up, to the point where he was holding on for life. The surgery was a success for our kitty cat, but unfortunately he's succumbed to the surgery aftermath because his kidneys couldn't hold on any longer from a blockage from crystals in his urinary tract. We were showing so much kindness and mercy at the clinic and I couldn't think all of them more. We were sent a Christmas card for condolences. I
