Jewels of the Desert Horse Rescue and Sanctuary

I absolutely love this horse rescue. Mary is an incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated horsewoman who helps horses in difficult situations get the care they deserve. She also works tirelessly to place horses when their owners can no longer care for them. Rescuing horses takes skill, experience, patience, compassion, and a huge financial commitment, and Mary embodies all of that. She has an amazing eye for understanding where each horse will thrive and always puts their well-being first. Jewels of the Desert Rescue and Sanctuary keeps horses happy, healthy, and safe. Working with this rescue has been an amazing experience. I’ve personally been able to save the lives of two horses because of them. I truly admire the rescue’s vision and dedication, which align perfectly with my own values.

This horse rescue is amazing! I've seen some horribly abused and malnourished horses come into this rescue and in a very short time they are transformed into happy, healthy, beautiful and adoptable companions for their new owners to enjoy! These horses get lots of love, medical attention, are well fed and they learn that they are safe now. All because of Mary and her compassion, dedication, and love for these beautiful creatures and her amazing volunteers.

Amazing rescue! Worth the drive and worth any amount of time you have and can spend there! Can't even begin to express how happy the horses are to have you around:)

Mary and the volunteers do a great job caring for the horses she rescues. And she always makes sure they are adopted to good homes. If it's not a good fit, she won't let the horse go.

This is a beautiful place doing beautiful things. I have donated several times to this facility and will gladly do it over and over again.
