Ivy's Dog Training

Ivy was absolutely wonderful with our 2 and 3 year old dogs who were hindering our home life by being “too happy” when guests came over. (It was very embarrassing that we couldn’t control our dogs around other people.) She trained them with such excellence and expertise, but even more importantly — she trained ME! (Apparently I was being too nice.)

Ivy was always very helpful with training and you can tell she loves what she does. My 4 month Staffordshire has always been relatively well mannered so we sharpened those already good skills, and taught her some tricks just for funzies. She now knows how to heel, differentiate her crate vs bed, walk without pulling, coexist with chihuahuas, and the least useful but definitely my favorite: she waves hello 😂 I will say Ivy is a great trainer if you already have things you want to work on, I kinda went into my lessons with no plan thinking it was some sort of guided course but it was more of a choose your own adventure type. Regardless, Ivy was always super helpful with tips and recommendations.

Ivy is a miracle worker! We have a GSD Husky mix and he is quite the stubborn boy. While he knew most basic commands he had a hard time obeying. With two young children we did not have the time and energy to devote to the training he needed. After training with Ivy he is a new dog! He used to have to be put away when we had company over and now he can be out, he can be taken on bike rides and walks with much less stress, doesn’t bolt out the door and down the street when given the opportunity, generally listens and obeys when he didn’t before. Everyone that knew him before training said they can’t even believe he is the same dog. We adore Ivy, and she is not only a great trainer she cares for and adores the dogs she trains. You will not regret working with Ivy for your next training.

THE BEST TRAINER. I am a person that feels if I'm going to spend money, it better be well worth it. Let me tell you, Ivy's Dog Training was beyond worth is. I stumbled across Ivy on google researching trainers. She was able to discuss with me expectations, goals, time frames, and costs. My 10 month old pup came to her with no crate training, 2 inconsistent commands, and still not potty trained. My dog was the "run down the street because I saw a bird at 5am" dog. After just a couple weeks my dog PROGRESSIVELY became more obedient to my commands. Ivy was even able to accomodate my commands requested in a different language. Ivy was so amazing with our first ever pup on our own. She helped us learn to train Apollo and she trained us. We can’t thank Ivy enough and high recommend her to all puppy and dog owners. We will definitely be back to Ivy when we are ready to advance our trainings.
