Ben has been working with my fearful, anxious rescue dog for four months. He has also worked with me to be a more confident dog owner. As a result, my dog is able to interact well with other dogs and humans successfully out in public and at doggy daycare. Ben is so patient and his expertise in dog training and dog behaviors is so evident from the trust he has built between my dog and the other dogs that join him on his daily outings to the woods. Ben has helped with leash walking, as Oakley pulled, and zig-zagged. He’s also made it possible for me to be able to have the confidence to board him overnight and help with his reactivity. Every week, Ben picks Oakley up, and takes him with his other dog friends for exercise and socialization.

Ben is an excellent trainer who listens to you and your pets needs. I went to Ben after adopting a stray dog who was found roaming with no history and was having a difficult time trusting people and getting acclimated to his new life. Ben helped my dog and I work together to build a stronger bond and better trust for them and I to feel more comfortable and confident in a variety of types of situations. I now feel confident in the bond and trust my dog and I have built that I can take him in a variety of situations as to before we met Ben he couldn’t even lay down without being stressed out. We have since gone on number vacations, trips to restaurants, events, and even played mini golf and I am able to understand and tell my dogs queues and help set the tone for all different types of expe

Our 2 year old Cavapoo did a 7 week training with Ben. The results were wonderful. Our dog follows commands and is well behaved around other people. A total transformation. We look forward to continuing the training at home. Thanks again for working with our family.

So grateful for Ben (and team!) at Instinct Canine! I got Rupert (2.5 mos) in January 2025 and as an American Bully, I knew I wanted to get him trained early to get ahead of any potential challenges - leash pulling, most specifically. Ben came for an in-home assessment and suggested we wait until Rupert was a month or two older and got us on his schedule for March of 2025. We noticed a difference almost immediately. Rupert was listening better, looking at us when we gave commands and he was finally a pleasure to take on a walk. We just completed a second 3-week course and Rupert is doing so well! There have been no zoomies on the couch and Rupert is able to walk by people and dogs without expecting attention (though I know he would welcome it given how social he is 😂). They provided tr

Lainey Wilson, our sixth rescue, went from a fearful, reactive dog to a confident, loving, well-behaved member of our pack — all thanks to Ben. The transformation has been nothing short of incredible. We originally reached out to Ben after doing extensive research because Lainey came to us with serious fear-based behavioral issues. With five other dogs in the home, her reactivity and insecurity had become overwhelming. She was targeting the weakest dog, was extremely difficult to walk, and had almost no confidence. We were heartbroken and genuinely unsure what her future would look like. Ben specializes in the toughest cases, and his unique approach — taking dogs off-site to work one-on-one with his own balanced pack — is exactly what she needed. After just five weeks of training with hi
