Indigo Dog Training

Our dog's name is Jumanji and Jumanji is half Black Lab and half Beagle. Jumanji is a rescue dog and has a wonderfully joyous and enthusiastic view of live. In some ways, Jumanji is a lot more fun than we anticipated when we adopted her and Jumanji needed help if she was going to live out an extended life. We had already raised and trained dogs for a service dog organization, but Jumanji's zest for life was beyond our ability to convert to our residential environment. We needed specific help with Jumanji responding to recall commands so that she would stop running out in to traffic and chasing off after alluring scents. The training our dog received at Indigo Dog was absolutely phenomenal. The trainers were very communicative and sent us plenty of updates through out our puppy’s 3 week stay. We also were able to see her and the trainer in action at pick up. We left feeling confident that our dog learned a lot and we felt we had a good understanding of how to continue the training when we got home. I would highly recommend Indigo Dogs for initial training as well as boarding and refresher courses. Great staff and facility where the dogs got freedom to roam while still learning a lot.

We brought our 1.5 year old rescue pup to Indigo to help her work through impulse control, recall, separation anxiety, and walking without pulling. After 3 weeks of training, we can confirm it was well worth the investment! Mike was responsive and helped us figure out what training was best for our dog. He was clear about next steps and expectations, and helped us feel more at ease with leaving our dog at "camp" for 3 weeks. The trainers were attentive to Sunny and to us, sending us updates every few days. They recognized that she needed some more time for field trips and let her stay for a few extra days at no additional cost. Nidia did a wonderful leading us through the 2 hour transition training. My husband and I sent our 1 year old Bernedoodle here per the recommendation of a friend and we are thrilled with the work they did with him! Before we sent our dog, Mike spent lots of time with us on the phone answering our (endless) questions and reassuring us while also educating us about what to expect while he was there. Our dog spent lots of time with Kathy the dog trainer and she did an excellent job with him and made sure his transition home was as seamless as possible. We are so thankful we found Indigo Dog Training and would highly recommend sending your dog there for training.

The best decision we made was getting our darling puppy. The second best decision was sending her to Indigo for puppy camp! They went above and beyond on all fronts. Were communicative throughout her stay sending photos and updates on her progress. They exposed her to so many important new things like new environments, other animals, and really worked with her to try to find ways to help ease her separation anxiety. They even sent us home with new tools, toys, and gear so that we could continue on her great progress when we got her back home. The trainers were fabulous, with a keen expertise and kindness towards the dogs in their care. We are so glad to have found such a great spot that we can bring her back to when we go out of town in the future. Thank you Indigo!
