I’ve had this product for a year. I was in love with this dog door solution at first! I thought the $500 price tag was steep but I was desperate for a solution in my rental that has no sliding door. I had issues with it fitting from the moment I got it, even with custom measurements & a visit from the owner to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong. The weather stripping it comes with doesn’t seal the gaps with the fixed door. Rain, wind and bugs get inside because of this. The plastic flap that covers the dog door is so light & the magnet thats supposed to keep it closed, is so weak that the light wind my door gets, blows the flap open constantly. This is the second one we have ordered! We ordered one for our old house and we loved it! It lasted for years! It didnt fit our new house door so we ordered another one, this time we upgraded to the weatherproof dog door (worth it for us where we live now!). Easy to install, took my husband 10 minutes max to set up. Rick is very kind and patient and willing to answer questions as needed. This place needs to be famous! I rave about this company any chance I get compliments or questions about this dog door insert!

This is a brilliant product! From the beginning Rick was very helpful in answering my questions as far as size and measurements of the door since I was concerned about the size of my large dog whether he would fit or not. I did end up ordering the XL size and selected expedited shipping. It was a quick turn around time and Rick stayed in contact with me whenever I had questions. We received our door within the expected time frame and are very happy with this purchase! It works great and I would definitely recommend.

This product is absolutely BRILLIANT, we love our new door insert! We have no way to install a dog door with the configuration of our house so our only solution is to go through the back door which are french doors. Originally, we looked at buying new french doors with the dog door insert already installed but that was going to be a few thousand dollars. My husband stumbled upon In or Out's website just by doing a simple google search. We watched the youtube video of how to measure (on the website), took pictures of the measurements, then submitted those via email. Installation of the insert took maybe 10 minutes and came with a page of very detailed instructions. We bought some extra foam stripping to fill in some minor cracks but the fit is spot on. Who would have thought that you could install a doggie door in a hinged door without modifying the door itself? This is a unique and beneficial product. I placed an order, which was an easy process, but unfortunately had to cancel after finding out that my new neighborhood has eagles and hawks. My pup is only 4 pounds, so I felt it was best that she stay indoors. The owner, Rick, issued a full refund. Thanks Rick!
