IMPACT CRATE CAUTION FOR SEPARATION ANXIETY DOGS - My new rescue dog was having issues with Rock Creek crates by pulling on a metal bite guard. Called Impact to explain my concerns to ensure dog could not get teeth stuck in anything and would be safe. The sales person (Riley) thought this would work and so I purchased high anxiety 40”+ crate. First time she was in it for an extended period, she broke her lower canine tooth. My theory is that she got it caught in one of the holes and snapped it. Due to concerns with breaking the rest of her teeth, I will not leave her locked up while I’m away. Initially was provided incorrect tracking information, the tracking number I had was for a different shipment. When I reached out to Impact, I was informed I needed to go through UPS (there is no way for them to help because I do not have the tracking for my package). Eventually the crate arrived two days later, luckily. We ordered the collapsible crate and it is easy to setup and break down as advertised (hence the 2 stars). However, we have used it twice and both times our dog has managed to cut her nose open on the inside of the door latch that has sharp and uneven edges creating a unsafe cut hazard. So the fedex damaged the box and mine showed up without a box, I contacted customer support and spoke with Riley I believe. Ive never received such awesome support. The kennel arrived damaged as a result of the carriers negligence. But Riley and the impact team stepped up. I was presented with several reasonable solutions. Everything was handled beyond my satisfaction within minutes. And then the product, yes its pricey but you can feel the quality. It has a bunch of small little things that are often over looked that remind you of the quality. This will not be my last kennel from them.

I rented a collapsible Impact crate to travel to France on Air France for a Giant Schnauzer that was 70lbs. I also had purchased Rock Creek dog crate so I was able to compare the two side by side. Impact seems to have better paint quality, a quieter and firmer floor, more reinforcement on the inside on the back panel, and the back rail/brace is included. Rock Creek’s corner protectors are replaceable, the roof is quieter-when you press down on it (no metallic clank sound), the front door is much better designed especially the locking latch system which is fully enclosed from the inside (a dog could not get a paw or fur stuck or snagged in any holes or edges, this seems much safer), the front door has an additional accessory to make it more secure, has better wheels accessory ($180 with upg

This was the best investment for my Old English Bulldog, especially to fly her overseas from L.A. to Hawaii. She loves her new kennel and feels comfortable in her new home. The crate pad also worked wonders and remained dry throughout her stay while in quarantine. Best crate indeed!!
