They are expensive, and prices went up after the office remodel. Huntington Beach Pet Hospital consistently upsells services, so I've learned to carefully review every treatment plan and ask lots of questions. Unfortunately, before the busy holidays, my guard slipped. I went in simply to refill a prescription for our dog, who had no symptoms of illness. Before I realized it, I had agreed to $500 in testing!! I fell for their scare tactic: suggesting that something unrelated but serious might be wrong to get me to agree to additional tests. Ugh! Clear communication and informed test consent were missing. And that's disappointing Time to find a new vet!

I’ve been coming to HB Pet Hospital since my dog was 3mo old, she is 7 now. We have always had great service and I trust the entire team with the health of my dog. Plus my dog loves going to the vet. She absolutely loses it when she figures out we are going to the vet.

Dr. Lewis and his staff are great. The take care of not scaring my dog and always explain things clearly. They provide great service and their costs are provided upfront.

Sadly, the vet I'd been using for years past away. My cat was very sick and I brought him back to the practice. It was a big and expensive mistake and I learned nothing. Someone recommended dr. Lewis and I never looked back. Before seeing him, I was sure my cat would die. My cat is on a specialized diet now and I give him a medication daily. You would never know he was sick. To say dr. Lewis is brilliant is an understatement. It feels like he has an encyclopedic brain!

They are fair, quick, and efficient. They handle pets well. It's just expensive but I'm sure the prices are the same elsewhere - that was my experience whenever I didn't get dr. Andrew. I never liked getting that dr. because he has an overly enthusiastic personality that comes off as disingenuous. When you're putting your pet and money into something you want the dr involved to have a certain level of seriousness about everything, which he just doesn't. He acts like a salesman. Not a dr. His long explanations, and quirky personality seem to cover up for how they're charging you a ton for something you may or may not truly need. I told them about that dr not to cause trouble, cuz I need a vet, and have been going here for years, but because it was my truth every time I dealt with him. And
