Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. We adopted George, a Jack Russell Terrier who was very quiet, sweet but full of energy!

I was hesitant at first to bring my Frenchie to be spayed. What a pleasant surprise. The staff here was professional, friendly and most important ...caring. Everyone I came in contact with had a smile to offer, My Frenchie is fine and I am thankful to everyone at the Humane Society for their professionalism and care.

I have taken about 18 kittens here to all be spayed neutered vaccinated microchipped and tested for Felv/FIV....This is a great group of people. They have been professional, friendly, knowledgeable and kind, they are organized drop off and pick up is a breeze.....They genuinely care about your pets they help. All my kitties have done great with the surgeries and etc. The price is affordable and very reasonable....There is no reason to not spay/neuter your pets. I am a dog groomer and have been working in the animal care profession for over 30 years and I am very satisfied with the Humane Society of Polk County and 100% recommend take by your pets here to be spayed/neutered and etc. Thank you for taking great care of all my babies.

My family has been looking to adopt a new family member for a while, but it’s been a little complicated due to my daughter’s skin allergies to certain dog breeds. As a long time advocate of adoption, we have been hoping and praying for a hypoallergenic pup to adopt. Long story short we found our beautiful girl here - and we are so thankful! She fits perfectly into our family. We absolutely adore her and look forward to all of the adventures we’ll get to have with her! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the staff at this shelter. They are rockstars!!
