Humane Society of Odessa

The Humane Society of Odessa has been incredible. After losing my soul cat, they were so supportive and even let me do a trial with one of their cats, who has helped heal my heart more than I can say. The staff truly cares. They keep the place as clean as possible, and every dog gets one-on-one outside time every day. You can tell how much love goes into everything they do. If I could give zero stars, I would. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience at this dog shelter. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the facility was not well-maintained. The kennels were unclean, and there was a noticeable odor throughout the building, which raised immediate concerns about the health and well-being of the animals. My interaction with the front office manager was appalling. Her demeanor was incredibly rude and dismissive, making the adoption process feel more like an interrogation than a welcoming experience. This individual seemed uninterested in helping me find a suitable dog and instead acted as if I was an inconvenience. The overall lack of care and professionalism displayed by the staff was disheartening. It's clear

They are amazing here! The staff and volunteers give so much care to the animals. I was walking in and one of the staff was sweet talking one of the pups, and that’s exactly how I do my fur babies. Great facility and they actually care!

Was very nice when I went. Super clean and smelling awsome. I unfortunately didn't find my Sammy, but they seem to take care of they animals they have.

I walked 20 blocks in the cold to take a puppy that showed up at my rv. I got there there were 3 employee vehicles in the parking lot, one short heavy set woman whose face and attitude and lack of any interest of helping in any way barked," WE'RE CLOSED!!!!ARF!!" She either hates her job or herself or both but I had nothing to do with where she chose to work . I also had nothing to do with her inability to stop eating her emotions! If help is what you need, I don't suggest asking that employee!
