We adopted a 3 yo chihuahua. The staff was upbeat, helpful, and very informed. We also received a pet carrier and food enough for several weeks. I recommend them.

No one was even there to feed and water the dogs. Very snoody. I wouldn't even bother with this place tbh. It's a shame it's the only no kill shelter around.

After telling us for almost a week we were at the “top of the list” for briar. They randomly told us no in the middle of the night via email. Talk about unprofessional. Why lie to us? We are extremely upset. Definitely won’t be choosing this place for adoption again.

I adopted my first ever dog from this AMAZING place. The staff was patient during the adoption process and did everything they could to pair me with the perfect friend for me and my situation. I came to find out later that everyone here is a volunteer and no one is paid. That just makes the time they spent not only pairing me and my buddy, but also the time they spent caring for him before we met, even more valuable. I can not thank HSNWLA enough for everything they did for me and all the care that they showed through the entire process, and continue to show.
