Picked up our little kitty today and couldn’t be happier. They were cleaning him up when I arrived, provided a flea comb and were very caring for the pets. They took extra measure to make sure he was nice and warm after his bath for the ride home. It was clear that the volunteers truly have a passion and care for these animals. The foster was there when I arrived who works with the shelter frequently and it was obvious that she also holds passion for creating a loving space and finding homes for animals in need.

What a wonderful group !! I adopted a cat who was 7mts He is the most important part of my life . I had a great visit and was very happy with everything. I will be back shortly for another kitten . Thank you, so much Linda you were very helpful with everything and I enjoyed meet you .❤️

While I was a student at SUNY Geneseo, there were plenty of unfixed stray cats hanging around. A few months before an orange and white cat started coming around for food. He was an absolute sweetheart, and I had contacted HSLC about seeing if I could foster him through them. Charlene helped me get him with a TNR group to be fixed, then he came home with me to be fostered. She had contacted me about interested adopters promptly, but it didn't take very long to realize I was keeping him forever. Though Duke (pics below!) wasn't exactly in their possession for long, I can't thank them enough for how much they helped a broke college student save a cat!

This shelter is great! I got a beautiful healthy grey and white tuxedo! They were great to work with! Getting a kitten here is cheaper than getting a free kitten because the adoption covers everything!

we have adopted a cat from them he’s definitely the best cat we ever had!! also we had a stray. we where worried about him. they rescued him and got him looked at by a vet now he’s in his forever home!! if i can give more the 5 stars i would!
