I love this organization and the people who work there! I got my last two dogs from them, and the people knew their temperaments and gave me helpful info. Luna was a puppy in 2012 and the young lady who showed her to me predicted—correctly—that she was a handful—a strong willed, protective dog (great dog—RIP)! My second dog, who I adopted February, was a year and a half, and they correctly said she was easy going and smart as a whip (best dog ever). In both cases, I felt like I was given a chance to foster the pups before making my decision which was also helpful as there was no pressure. After a few days of fostering and seeing how they were and how they fit in to my household, I kept both pups as I fell in love! We adopted two kittens. We didn’t find out until we got home but both kittens had ringworm and gave it to us. Also one kitten died from a health issue that the staff never told us about. I called and told them and they said they can’t do anything for me. At another time, family members dropped off two dogs that I wasn’t allowed to have and I tired to take the dogs to them and they said it was going to be over $80 per dog for them to even take them into the shelter. Both times the staff was rude and they just act like they are better than anyone and everything.

This place is amazing 👏 🤩 They all do such an amazing job for the animals. It's absolutely wonderful. Adopt one 9f their dogs, and you will be a happy camper!

I have adopted dogs from here, and they are the most lovable animals ever. All these fur babies need a loving home, and hopefully, good people will give them one. The people who work there are great with the fur babies,they try to keep the fur babies' sleeping area clean so that they don't have to sleep in a messy room. The dog I got last year and one this year, and they're already the best of friends, and it's nice that they both have a brother now 💙 😍

THERE ARE VERY DESERVING ANIMALS HERE IN RUIDOSO WHO NEED ADOPTING. SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TO HAVE THE RIGHT DOG WITH THE RIGHT PERSON. I GOT MY CAT AVALON FROM HERE AND SHE IS IRREPLACEABLE🌟
