I foster with HSHV and they are very supportive, helpful, and put the animals first always. They even have special educational and fun holiday events for the foster volunteers so you get to meet the team that helps you and other fosters. In addition to my foster dog my family has an adopted dog from here. We walked in to adopt one day, took her home, and she’s our favourite “person” ever since.

We came to Huron Valley’s Humane Society for their Love Train adoption event. I found myself very impressed by the very clean and expansive facility despite the number of people there. Just to let people know, we got there about 2 hours prior to opening to join the waitlist for the Love Train adoption event (which you must sign in via a QR code posted outside their doors) and were 18th in line so I would recommend getting there early if you are hoping to get a particular furry friend. The staff members were extremely friendly, making small talk to the many people waiting to ease the wait/pressure of hoping to get a dog and answering any questions about their adoption procedures. The man handling the front door also managed to handle the large amount of foot traffic quite impressively and i

Absolutely wonderdul staff and facility. We adopted the sweetest 2yr old old Australian caddle dog. The dog park amd walking track out back gave us the perfect time to get to know her. The staff was extremely informative and kind! Wish we could bring all those beautiful doggies home!

We couldn’t be happier with our pup. But I’m rating the experience we had 5 stars because the staff was so friendly and kind and patient with all of our first pup parent questions. They made us feel confident in our abilities to be good dog parents. Even after the adoption I’ve been able to easily communicate with the vets regarding our pups spaying incision and hematoma. I truly recommend the love train for anyone trying to get a puppy and raise it as their own. It’s worth getting there early!

This organization does some of THE BEST work fighting the good fight for the defenseless. The staff are professional, organized and compassionate, the facilities are squeky clean and despite the place being so packed that the huge parking lot was overflowing, we were in quickly to check out the kittens and back out the door with our new FurEver friend officially ours! Any way you can support via volunteering, donating or adopting will help an incredible organization with a worth mission. I've also used their vet clinic in the past for several spay/neuter of both cats and dogs and was VERY impressed.
