We had the absolute best experience adopting our new dog Rainbow-Dash! She is the sweetest doggo ever. The staff here is amazing
Some of the best people out there! We adopted our two kitties from there. After we adopted our first one, we noticed she was lonely so we got her a second one from here and they helped figure out which one was best for our home!!
I found a deceased cat that had been thrown next to a dumpster at my apartment complex. I didn't know who to call so I called HATS and they were able to take the cat so it could have a more humane resting place. Although my heart was broken that someone could do this to an animal, they restored my faith in humanity by being so sweet and supportive.
What a well-organized and managed animal shelter. I ended up finding the new love of my life, SPIRIT, a year old, sweet beagle. Their guidance on her introduction to my other dogs went great and was well explained. They have an intuition as the temperament of the dogs in their care. I highly recommend finding your next adoption here.
Update after reply from the owner- Hi, thank you for responding. I completely understand that you can’t place holds without a meet-and-greet. The issue for us wasn’t about expecting a hold — it was that we were specifically told on the phone that once we got our cat’s vaccine updated, we should come in to meet the cat. So we went out, paid for the vaccine, and prepared to drive two hours, only to find out he was adopted by someone else before we were even given a chance to come. If we had been told that other adopters were still being considered or that getting the vaccine didn’t guarantee a chance to meet him, we would’ve handled things differently. We weren’t asking for special treatment — just clear communication so we didn’t spend time and money under the wrong impression. I appreciate
