Originally went here to bring an injured seagull I had found in Freeport & ended up leaving with this sweet girl… She was returned a few times & from just having her for 3 days, I have no idea what those people were thinking!! Her personality is so full of joy & love, she has the perfect mix of settling & on go. I’m so excited for all of our adventures together.

I adopted my sweet “Bobbie” in May of 2025. He had only been at the shelter for one week when I found him. He is the best dog and is so loved by our family. I hope his previous family reads this and finds comfort knowing how much he is loved.

Visited to get my daughter a Christmas present. Staff was very friendly. Able to walk around and view the animals. When you see one you're interested in, you can inform the staff and they'll bring you and the animal to an separate enclosed area to bond. It was a smooth process. Kennel areas are kept clean. Staff is attentive to all the animals. Great experience

-Adopt don't shop!- The facility was clean without odor. Staff was helpful and welcoming. As a person who has rescued pets for decades, the staff listened and assisted me with finding a fur baby who matched our family. We don't choose a fur baby just because it's cute. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Came here December 2023 because my cat (that we rescued from the streets) had worms in his stool. Did testing and turns out he was FIV+. The “vet” who was following outdated and incorrect information that she learned 50 years ago in school, told us to put him down. Shoved a kill shelter card and ATM machine in our face while we were processing the news. The “vet” handed us information about FIV that literally said most FIV+ cats can live normal lives as long as long as they are treated for their illnesses in a timely manner. She didn’t even read her own information pamphlets that she was handing out to families. Did our own research and talked to other vets who verified the information.
