House of Exotics

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff great experience for us. New to the world of reptiles and they were extremely helpful in making recommendations on habitat and diet.

I've tried....gone in there 4-5 times with this owner. Have NEVER been acknowledged by an associate in ANY visit. It's grown in merchandise ALOT since my last visit, so was hopeful initially, but never have had what I was looking for at the visit, always out....dwarf African frogs, mystery snails, male Bettas, Anubis plants....I saw a female betta I really liked but again I walked through the fish dept twice, looking at each tank & shelf carefully, making sure I wasn't missing what I was looking for, & entire store once intently, but no one acknowledged me at 4pm on a Sat. I saw an older, inactive male betta in quarantine area. Two associates tied up at the register entire time, NOT acknowledging anyone who entered or shopping. I tired to call the store during business hours but they never answered. So I decided to stop by anyway. Drove over an hour and when I arrived they didn't have any plecostomus. What kinda of fish store doesn't have a single pleco? Its the most popular fish in the aquarium hobby! I talked to the manager and she told me they have a shipment coming in on Thursday and to come back then. As an experienced fish keeper for over 30+ years I realize they dont quarantine thier fish. This is absolutely irresponsible way to keep fish. It would only take one sick fish to kill off my entire tank of rare and expensive cichlids. I will NEVER do business either House of Exotics!!!!

I was in a pickle with last-minute plans, and and they were willing to work with me. I happen to forget my shoes, and they were still willing to run the product out to me and allow me to pay . They have excellent customer service, friendly staff and a well-maintained Store. I highly recommend house of exotics to anyone with pets 10 out of 10.

So grateful to have Leslie and her family running the store, they're working tirelessly to keep it fully stocked with lots of variety! The quality of the animals has improved greatly and Leslie works to bring in a fantastic variety of salt and freshwater fish! She ordered me a bunch of live plants and gorgeous mopani wood to build a 15 gallon freshwater aquascape. She's also ordered some really cool flashy fish, snails, and shrimp to stock my tank! Really enjoying my hobby with Leslie's help!
