Holistic Animal Care

Dr. Chalmers is my favorite vet, and we use her as our primary vet even though we live in Tennessee. All three of my dogs have made great improvements in their health and overall well-being since working with her and I love the natural approach.

The Dr is rude and routinely talks bad about her staff to other clients. She is unprofessional. I won't be coming here again. All the high reviews of this place is the Dr.s personal friends and sister. Don't believe the good reviews.

One is too many stars... My dogs needs a specialized diet. When I made the appointment I specifically asked and verified that they could handle my dogs needs. I called back a week before the appointment to confirm. When I got the there the dr rudely informed me that she doesn't do meal plans and then proceeded to tell me that she can examine my dogs energy and see if there are supplements for his food but she didn't do any of that. she took his temp and the appointment was over. I was out $80 and they did absolutely nothing. Plus I waited over a month for the appointment and drove over 2 hours to get there.

I highly recommend them to everyone I know with a pet. You have to believe in holistic remedies and put serious effort into the solutions for the treatments to really work. After going to damn near every vet clinic in Petaluma I was able to get a dermatology apt at the VCA, who diagnosed my dog as having an autoimmune disease. It took about 8 months and a lot changing medicines and doses before they had her setup with 2 types that produced stable results at a wopping $240 month for the rest of her life. Working with Dr Chalmers has transformed the lives of my companion critters. They're far healthier and happier now. What I've learned has changed how i care for my animals, home and self. I'm far healthier now too! Dr. Chalmers invites her patients' humans to look at their environments in a new way. She shows us how profoundly effective it is to eliminate toxins and improve diets! My home, yard and diet has changed too as a result of observing the profound alterations in my beloved critters. As with all learning, there are challenges.
