Hilltop Kennels

Hilltop has absolutely earned my trust/faith when it comes to caring for my fuzzy companion/best friend. I’ve had my dog Bagel stay with them a few times now while I’ve gone out of town for work etc. Every time he’s come home in one piece, happy and healthy. The owners seem to be very good people and the staff has all been kind. They are very communicative and i have never once felt uneasy or unsure while Bagel has stayed with them. I love the report cards they send as well. If you’re looking for somewhere to board your dog that is priced fairly, and guaranteed to take good care of them, Hilltop is your spot. The Notre Dame flag by the house is also a huge plus lol

Just like Casey mentioned in her review. I have been taking my dogs to Hilltop Kennel for the last 20 years ( my first 2 a GS and a Lab passed) now I have 2 labs and just like the other 2 they always look happy to go there and when I pick them up. In 2019 we moved to Van Alstyne which is 90 min drive but there is no other place I rather take them. They are the best!

These ppl love dogs! And are very nice and helpful! They even took our dog on super short notice during the emergency birth of our 2nd child. Our 11 year old Doberman Judson always feels at his second home when he stays at Hilltop.

We decided to look for a new place for our boys that was a little less noisy than our previous kennels and something with a little more room, we were going to be gone for an extended trip of two weeks. We chose to visit hilltop for a tour and some things we noticed that ultimately led to our decision to board with them; owner knew all the dogs by name and their unique personalities, the all day yard play rotation. Also, we have large so called “aggressive” breeds and he wasn’t nervous at all. It showed his expertise and confidence in dog handling that really, our boys are just big baby’s. We have been using Hilltop for years now to board our two big furry goofs! Our GS Sasha is hesitant about strangers and nervous about new environments, but always loves being there and never has any prolonged issues when she comes back home after a stay. Our golden Winston ADORES all the extra cuddles and playtime he gets while there. My husband and I appreciate the care and space for our dogs to daily socialize and roam free that’s provided by the owners! They are fabulous!
