Hillsborough Veterinary Clinic

HVC is a wonderful place that shows compassion to everyone - both animals and humans. They took care of my Sid for over ten years and made her as comfortable as possible during her passing. I wouldn’t go anywhere else 🐶 for my pets.

Incredibly disappointing experience. I came in after finding a stray kitten outdoors. I had no prior knowledge of cats and hoped they would be able to educate me on how to best keep him safe but most of my questions were dismissed. The worst part is they charged me for exams but the results weren’t even accurate so I had to go to a new vet who redid the exams and found positive results. They lost the stool sample I brought in and if I had not called back they would have never said anything. My kitten also ended up being checked for ear mites at a new vet office and they said he did have them while this vet said he did not. Very disappointing with all of the great reviews. Will not be returning or encouraging anyone I know to go here. An animal that comes from the outdoors needs to be thoro

Best vet experience ever, and I’m a lifelong pet owner. From Jay at the front desk to Sam who got us settled in to Dr. Martinez, everyone was genuine, thoughtful and clearly in love with pets. Never felt so welcomed at, or confident in, a clinic.

I have a rescue cat (former stray) who was suffering with an infected aural hematoma that completely blocked her ear canal. She is very skittish and impossible to put in a carrier. I was turned away by multiple vets in Hillsborough, but this office was so compassionate - they coached me about sedating her and getting her in a carrier so they could sedate her. They treated her with such compassion and care, and she is thriving now and we are so grateful to have found this office! This is the difference between a corporate chain and a local clinic that cares about animals.

We have been going here for years. When Dr Martinez took over this place changed. I NEVER thought I would leave a bad review for any business, but the service we received from the front desk was awful. We were asked not to bring our pets here. The techs are amazing, Dr Martinez is a fine doctor I’m sure , but her bedside manner stinks. We will gladly take our pets else where, sad to lose this location. I hope they can learn to treat people nicer.
