Hickory Veterinary Primary Care

This place is horrible! I have been a client for a few years , 4 pets. The 2 good doctors left the practice . Now they just want your money and are very inexperienced . They charged me a late charge of $26 for being 5 min late during rush hour on a rescheduled visit! Refused to credit my account and argued over the bill ! They never have anyone waiting in the waiting room and never told me about any late fee! After I spent thousands of dollars thru the years . The doctor had to “ look up” proper medications for an ear infection!?! They are not good and the fact they argued over their late fee that I was not told about is ridiculous . Fort Washington is so much better and they lost my business! I own a pet sitting buisness and will keep all clients away from there . I used to recommend them

We came here with our 12 year old, diabetic cat having a seizure due to his blood sugar being too low. Dr. Kay was phenomenal. She was calm, reassuring and decisive about the appropriate course of treatment. I knew my fluff nugget would need to stay to stabilize. Long story short, Walter, the patient, came home not to worse for the wear. I received updates throughout his stay and we were not surprised by the reasonable cost for the care. I also know he's feeling better since he's in one of his favorite napping locations. Thank you again, everyone at Hickory!

We came to this Vet practice today after our dog had become ill this morning, and our regular vet had no availability. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Celano. Her kindness and compassion upon our first meeting was so reassuring, and her knowledge and diagnosis was so comforting, as well as her assurance that she would be available during the weekend if needed. The staff was wonderful, and the space was welcoming and sparkling clean. Great veterinary practice. Thank you!

Terrible experience with the person answering the phone. Rude, put me on hold for 15min, made to feel like I was lucky she would allow me to have an appointment. If that's how they treat people over the phone, how do they treat our pets???

We started coming to the practice when we adopted a puppy that ended up having worms. Our vet wasn’t able to see us and we called around to several vets in the area with no luck. Thankfully we ended up calling Hickory Veterinary Primary Care and they were able to get us in the same day! We’ve switched both of our dogs here for their Primary Care since then. The facility is beautiful and every single person that we’ve interacted with has been friendly and caring. We’ve seen Dr. Messina and he is fantastic with our puppy. He’s patient and kind and really takes the time to explain everything to us and answer any questions that we have. We’re so happy to have our pets cared for by this practice and have recommended them to everyone that we know!
