Hair of the Dog Grooming Salon

Today we found our fur-ever groomer! My senior mini-schnauzer has tried many grooming providers in her life, but none as caring and attentive as Katie. And those qualities matter, particularly with pups who get anxious during these services. There is a palpable zen vibe when you enter the shop. Soft music, calmed dogs on the table and a total absence of loud, clattering noises and the hurried chaos (that can be so typical of some grooming establishments from over-booking) greet you. Katie listens, observes, adapts and accommodates to make your pet feel relaxed and comfortable. When I picked Ava up at the promised time, not only did she look phenomenal with her well-upgraded schnauzer cut and style, but she was happy! She’d received gentle treatment, and some yummy and holistic rewards. T

My elderly shiz tsu Wendi had her first grooming here yesterday and they were fabulous. Wendi is fussy and has significant eye issues but Katie treated her with love and patience and she looks amazing. She needs frequent visits as she was a rescue and immerses her head in her food dish to eat! But we will be back and are booked already for our next visit. The shop is spacious and clean. Wonderful experience for us both!

Katie is amazing and has been cutting our mini golden doodle Finn for years. People frequently stop us on walks to ask wear he gets his cuts because they look so good! On top of that Katie genuinely cares for Finn and we know he is in great hands while he is there. Could not recommend any higher!

Our pup Luna used to be afraid of going to the groomer's, but after a few hours with Katie this afternoon, we received back the happiest doggo! Katie was super responsive, took the time to learn about Luna & her needs prior to our arrival, and charged very fair rates. Luna was so well groomed, soft, and smelled good when we got her, but more importantly she wasn't scared and pulling to get away from the groomer like the last place we had been, she was so happy & comfortable! I think putting the dogs in the comfortable little suites instead of the crates made all the difference (even for this crate trained dog!)! We will definitely be back!

Bowie is a 9 month old Bernedoodle that has been to a few different groomers already. I haven't been that happy with them for a few different reasons but mainly the haircut. Someone recommended to me that I call this grooming salon. I received a phone call back from Katie, the owner within 24 hours and she spent a lot of time with me on the phone asking about Bowie and setting up future appointments, etc. The Grooming Salon provides a calm environment with a dog friendly environment that is welcoming for all. Due to Bowie's breed he is high energy by nature and tends to be nervous at times but by the second time we brought him back, he was at ease and seemed to enjoy being there.
