We’ve been taking our pets here ever since we moved to the Couve, and it’s truly one of the best decisions we’ve made for our fur babies. We love the clinic’s modern design, the warm and friendly staff, and our absolute favorite doctor, Dr. Primley! She is incredibly caring, knowledgeable, and simply the best vet we could ever ask for. We’ve never had better experiences anywhere else. We fully trust Dr. Primley and the entire care team with our precious animals, and we appreciate them so very much! THANK YOU!!!

I first met Dr. Sandra Memenis years ago when I lived in Vancouver, and even after moving farther away, I never forgot her. She was one of the very few vets in the area who practiced acupuncture and truly cared from the heart. So when my senior dog suddenly lost the ability to walk and became incontinent in March 2024, I knew I had to return to her. Other clinics strongly recommended immediate euthanasia, but Dr. Memenis was different. She listened patiently, addressed my concerns gently, and never rushed me. She offered acupuncture as an option — and after just one session, my dog was able to walk from the end of the neighborhood by the mailbox all the way home. It felt like a miracle. Hearthwood Veterinary Hospital is the first vet clinic where I have felt comfortable in a long time. Having lived in multiple states, I have had more than 1 or 2 experiences with different places. My bar for quality measure is set high based on my joy with a clinic back in my home state of New Jersey. Since then, I have found decent places but not ones which really knocked my socks off. If I choose to spend my money at one place over others, with pet care in this instance, I want to know the provider is focused on care of their clients and the pets. To be frank, I do not at all like the trend of vet clinics with hard push sales of products and extended services. I went to Harthwood first because my dog was having an urgent issue, but they couldn’t get me in the same day. Even so, they still got advice from Dr. Sandra Memenis on what to feed him and what to do in the meantime, which I really appreciated. Since they couldn’t see him that day, I ended up going to an ER vet and had a really bad experience—lots of pressure for unnecessary tests and no one really listening to me. Coming back to Harthwood the next morning was a completely different experience. Dr. Memenis and the staff actually listened to everything I said about his history, ran the bloodwork I originally needed, and focused on what was truly best for my dog instead of trying to make money off me. Had an appointment yesterday for our cats with Dr. Primley. She was friendly, thorough, and professional, as were the vet techs who helped give our kitties their shots, and the receptionists who checked us in and out of this clean, welcoming facility. We travel past many other veterinarians to come here, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who loves their animals and wants them to have the best care.
