Cats Play While You're Away

Margie is the Cat Whisperer Extraordinaire! I thought I knew cats inside and out (I worked as a veterinary technician and my first exposure to cats was the family cat who slept in my cradle with me). My cats (5 and 13) have been very well looked after under Margie’s watchful eye for the past several years. She is very responsive to texts when I am on vacation and often has a suggestion or two to help with behavior modification or environmental enrichment.

My girlfriend and I knew we were going away for two weeks over Christmas, and we needed to find someone to look after our cat, Othello. We didn't feel comfortable asking local friends to keep Othello company for such a long period of time, so we started looking into boarding options. I had never boarded an animal before. Cats Play While You're Away exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely return to this local small business again. We didn't know what to expect, but Margie put us at ease and came across as very honest, caring, knowledgeable, and genuine. She sent us daily pictures of Othello, and he always seemed happy and entertained. While our cat didn't have any special needs or requests (besides time for cuddling!), Margie is very accommodating and willing to go the extra mile

This place is wonderful. Clean facility, there are rooms where the cats can watch birds. I knew my little girl was well taken care of while we were away.

This place is awesome. We went to Europe for two weeks and left our sweet orange baby angel in Margie’s hands. She was really attentive to our questions and understood his specific feeding needs and we quickly knew after talking with her that he was going to be totally fine. We got regular photo updates and could ask for more at anytime. He had a blast and came home healthy, happy and excited to see us. We will absolutely be booking him here in the future.

Tl;Dr Margie loves cats more than anyone I have ever met and she works harder for the cats in her care than anyone could imagine. If Daenerys Targaryen is the Mother of Dragons; Margie is without a doubt the Mother of Cats. If there is one thing I have learned from getting to know Margie over the 5 years my grooming business occupied her boarding facility; No human I have ever met cares more about cats than her and it’s not even close. Over the course of the time my business was partnered with Cats Play Margie has fostered and gotten adopted easily 350 but likely closer to 400 or more cats & kittens.
