Haw River Animal Hospital

We have been going to Haw River since it opened. Dr sizer has been amazing for our 2 cats and 2 dogs. She has experience in giant breed dogs - we have an Irish wolfhound - which require some specialty and care in understanding their specific growth and conditions. We have always been able to schedule quickly, speak with someone, and work with the clinic to make sure our babies are happy and well cared for. We will always recommend Dr sizer for anyone in the area.

I don’t know if there are enough words for me to express how strongly I recommend Haw River Animal Hospital. From the time I started taking my senior cat to them, through his CKD diagnosis and treatment, all the way to his final appointment Dr. Sizer and her team were incredible. I have never met a vet so knowledgeable, patient, informative, and overall amazing. The team took the time to get to know and love my sweet boy, and hearing them talk about how amazing he was every time made me beam with joy. I never had doubts that my Match/Goobie was getting the best care, from his first visit to his very last moments. Wonderful vet office! My husband and I are first time pet owners so this was our first experience picking out a vet. They were all so kind and caring. They answered all of our questions and followed up with test results super quick. Dr. Brewer was so kind and genuinely cares for our dog like we do. We highly recommended!

My wife is a veterinarian, and we take our pets to Dr. Sizer for their regular care. Need I say more? She is one of the most knowledgeable and gentle vets I have met, especially with cats. She has low stress cat areas and a cat only treatment room to reduce feline stress. I have had a LOT of vets for all my pets over the years, and Katie Sizer is top of the heap. We feel extremely fortunate to have a wonderful animal care center so close to us in Pittsboro. Her staff and vet techs are also outstanding. This clinic is clean, well staffed, professional in every way. You can be confident your pets will receive excellent care here.

Aug 2025 I recently switched my senior rottie,Ari, to here from another local vet. The service was more personal and prices a bit better. When she passed they were so compassionate. They made an extremely tough situation a little bit better. Sept 2025 Adopted / rescued a 1 yo rottie and am still using Haw River Animal Hospital with the new guy. They were so amazing with my wild child who doesn't know manners yet. He loved them. Don't let his puppy eyes fool you in pics.
