My husband and I adopted a 4.5 year old male Beagle yesterday from Happy Paws Rescue! We are very satisfied with their adoption process and love our new family member. The adoption process takes several weeks. Happy Paws is VERY thorough. They called my veterinarian and landlord to ensure the Beagle would go to a trusting home. They also ensure each Beagle is fully vetted — neuter/spay, vaccinations, stool test, bloodwork and even a dental cleaning! Our Beagle was fostered in a loving home with another former research lab Beagle for about 6 weeks. He was well socialized and house trained. He’s a trusting and affectionate dog :)
Shelter seems nice!! (´꒳`) The floof babies are in good paws~!! I was sooo hyped to adopt!! (╯✧▽✧)╯ Still, cute place!! However the pet places, hope the stars inline could be it for me. < 3
If you’re interested in adopting a beagle used in experimental research, DO NOT GO THROUGH PAWS!! Go on google, and you’ll find legit non profit animal rescue and advocacy organizations. These organizations for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. The way It’s supposed to be done, is to foster them first to get them used to a normal life because they suffer their whole life being injected with poison to experiment, cosmetics, deodorant, shampoo, medical devices and medicine. Not the life PAWS described on their website, like thanking them for our medicines we take and they live in clean cages. They never been out of a cage their whole life. Before I came across other legit organizations, I came across PAWS first because I live on the east coast. I wanted so much
Top notch rescue for cats. I donate.
This is an amazing volunteer rescue organization
