I have been going here for years and never left a review! The owner is amazing and very helpful whenever you have questions. I have called a number of times just to ask some maintenance/health questions regarding my fishies. I have gotten plenty of fish from him. He was even was great when we had a rough spot and had to bring a couple fish in due to a moving situation. I would recommend anyone to go check them out! Support local businesses like this one!

As I have said I one of my previous reviews he has the best quality 🐠 fish. He also has very good knowledge of them and is a joy to talk to. This black Angel fish is from his store. He is 31/2 years old and bought from him. I strongly recommend his store. UPDATE : Today is 2/27/2025 I drove from PA to visit my favorite store in Hackettstown to share some pictures with Jim. When we arrived there were 3 new persons behind the counter greeting us and I began chatting and showing pictures of the big Angel fish I had bought from him when it was very small, 3/12- 4 years ago. I was sad that he wasn’t there. The girl took a picture of my Angel and she said she would send it to the owner. I agreed and said I would go down stairs and look at the fish. I recently bought a koi betta from this pet store, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The guy who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable about bettas and made the whole process so smooth. He was also super sweet and took the time to help me pick out the perfect plant hammock and a piece of driftwood to make my betta feel at home. The betta I got is absolutely beautiful and was clearly very healthy and well cared for. It’s not often you find a store that really takes the time to ensure their animals are in great condition and that customers leave confident in their purchases. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for healthy fish and genuinely helpful staff.

When the other owner was there everything was fresh. The last few times I bought worms for bearded dragon they were awful. I send my mother in law and unfortunately she doesnt know what she's looking at. I thought maybe they had 1 or 2 bad batches but today again the meal worms have black dead ones and smell and the hornworms are turning black with goo coming out. It would make my bearded dragons sick. When I called they had very little interest in fixing it so I will go back to ordering online. Not sure why i cant put a picture up of the worms

Excellent store and animals well taken care of don't hesitate to visit! All my fish purchased were happy and healthy.
