Staff was very kind and portrayed great patience. My 3 cats were taken care of with the voucher program (no fee) from lee county (spay, neutering, rabies, shots) While at the center I also explained that i am looking for forever homes for these 8 week old cuties! Good place for pet med care. Been using them for 20byears since they were at the gold coast humane center off of Martin Luther King. I do have to say they are nothing like they were in those days, but they are good and take well care of our pets. What makes them different mainly is they are way way too busy and understaffed. This really leaves us out of ma y options. They don't do walk ins and they don't even take new patients.

I recently had my almost 5 year old Golden Retriever spayed and the experience was amazing from the kind ladies at the front desk to the excellent job the surgeon performed and attentive care from the techs! I was a bit hesitant because of the very few bad reviews but please do not listen to the bad reviews! This clinic has caring staff that will take good care of your fur babies! She is now 2 days post-op and healing beautifully! Please listen to the post op instructions and your fur babies will be just fine! I was fortunate enough to find my perfect furry soulmate at the Gulf coast Humane Society. I was pleasantly surprised when I used my free office visit for my pets first check up. Dr. Canupp, the medical director was unbelievably personable, caring and truly is passionate about what she does. She said I hit the jackpot by finding Love at the humane society. I couldn’t agree more I needed a hypoallergenic small dog that was potty broke and a woman had just surrendered a mini poodle. I was without a dog for over two years and woke up one morning ready to welcome a new pet into my life. Love was there and that was not an accident. That’s why her name is Love❤️. If I could give them a minus 100 I would! Do not take your dog or cat to spay and neuter clinic! They butchered and tortured my dog!!!! She got spayed and got a massive infection. Could not reach them on a Sunday. Had to take her to an ER vet on Sunday where she was given iv antibiotics and fluids. I was told that she needed to be put under again to have wound irrigated out and edges of incision redone and stitched. This was to make sure that all puss was cleaned out in order to make sure that infection did not spread to the 2 other layers of tissue. This vet said they would do the surgery, but that gulf coast had always been very capable, and stood by their work. They suggested I return with the dog and have them do the procedure .
