Bri and the team at Dog Wizard have been wonderful helping me make good citizens of my rambunctious rescue pups, Murphy and Chance. After a two week in-house training camp for each of them, Bri made sure I was equipped with the tools and knowledge to reinforce their lessons. Ongoing support classes/availability is a great reassurance for me and was the determining factor for me selecting them. My boys get lots of compliments from other dog parents at the dog park and fellow diners at dog-friendly restaurants. I would highly recommend Dog Wizard and am happy to be their client.
The Dog Wizard was an exceptional experience that we highly recommend. Our four-month-old Lainey spent 14 days working with Briauna (Bri) as part of the board and Jumpstart program. Bri is incredibly knowledgeable, confident, dedicated, and caring. As new and nervous parents, Bri kept us well-informed throughout Lainey’s stay, providing updates and pictures. Upon her return, we immediately noticed a positive difference in Lainey. She learned obedience commands and is now great walking on the leash. We have Bri set her up for success, and we are eagerly looking forward to continuing her training. Thank you to Corrie, Bri, and everyone at The Dog Wizard for taking such good care of Lainey!
Looking back, I think a board-and-train program would have been a better option for success. We did one hour per week of in-home training with Mike for five weeks. Unfortunately, my husband and Mike were not able to get on the same page with the leash technique used by Dog Wizard, and as a result, Rosy did not graduate from the program. We spent $1,500, which was disappointing, but I do understand why things unfolded the way they did. That said, we did learn a lot from the in-home training, and I would recommend the board-and-train option for families looking for stronger or more consistent results. Since then, we have switched to using a harness and are seeing much better progress with our puppy. I also want to note that the staff was wonderful with Rosy when dropping her off for daycar
We brought our 7 month old English black lab for the jump start program. He was always a sweet dog, just no manners. Lots of jumping, pulling on the leash (which at 72 lbs almost took me out), and chewing. We have 3 kids under 5 so trying to train him ourselves was super difficult. Patrick was our trainer and he was amazing. He sent tons of pictures and videos during his stay to let us know he was progressing well and having a good time. When he came home, he was a different dog! He no longer pulls, will sit in place while we eat and cook, is no longer chewing on things and is generally just a better behaved dog. We are so grateful for this experience and we can’t wait to continue his learning in the support class! Thanks you for everything Patrick!
My rescue, Kali, has become more anxious and reactive as she’s gotten older. She just turned five, and I was worried it might be too late, but the Dog Wizard team didn’t hesitate. Patrick was her trainer during the 2 week jumpstart camp and did an amazing job! He gave Kali the confidence she needed and showed us how to keep her training going at home. He was also very patient in ensuring I knew what Kali would need from me to be the best version of herself. Corrie was also very understanding when Kali had a spine injury just a few days before her scheduled training and was so accommodating about her recovery and rescheduled us twice when needed. We really appreciated all the pictures and updates, they made me feel a lot better when I was missing her the most. Thank you, Corrie, Patrick, an
