Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the entire medical care team at GLVC! I brought my son’s cat in for a suspect foreign body. She eats nerf darts…. They got her right in and assessed. Once making sure she was stable they provided me with two medical options for her care. We decided surgery was really the best option for her. They were able to get her surgery done later that morning and kept me updated with her progress. So grateful for their entire team! Suri says thanks for saving her life!

There truly are no words to express how thankful I am. The interest, care and kindness each staff member has for not only the animals but to the owners who bring them in. I was given the choice by our primary vet to either put my 7yr old cat down or take him to Greater Lansing Veterinary Center for a second opinion. I’m so thankful I did because two surgeries later he is back home with me on the mend. A special shoutout to Michelle who was my lifeline for a little when I had concerns about my sweet boy.

We brought Bort in on the night of 12/22 when we realized he hadn't urinated for at least 24 hours. After two overnight stays, many phone calls, lots of bloodwork, fluids attempting to flush out a blockage, xray and ultrasound, we received a call the morning of 12/24. The ultrasound showed that kidney stones were causing blockages in both ureters, preventing urine from making its way to the bladder. The only way to resolve this kind of blockage would have been a surgery, which GLVC could not perform, but was available at MSU. The doctor got in touch with them to find out more about the surgery itself, the aftercare required, and when we could be seen. She called and relayed it all to us. The surgery was very complicated, not guaranteed to be done perfectly, high likelihood of complicatio

We had to bring our sweet senior dog here twice within the last week. Unfortunately, the second time was to put him to sleep. Both times, we were met with amazing amounts of kindness. The team here made one of our worst days just a little bit easier. We were taken to a very peaceful room to take all the time we needed to say goodbye to our boy. Dr. Weinrick was our initial vet who let us know we had limited time with him, but sent us home with palliative care medication and the knowledge we needed to keep him comfortable. Dr. Aldrich helped us through his final moments. All of the staff we worked with were so gentle with us. We just wanted you all to know how much we appreciated your kindness today. It mattered so much to us and also our beloved boy. Our sincerest thank you for a

I brought my cat in a few days ago when she randomly got really sick. We arrived at 7:30am and I didn’t have a carrier and they didn’t mind at all. They took her back right away and let me stay in a room while I got updates. Eventually it was determined that she really was so sick and declining. The staff brought me into a room with a couch and I got to hold her as the vet gave her medicine. The euthanasia was so peaceful and I couldn’t have asked for anything else from that process. They let me stay in the room with her until I was ready. She was my soul cat and my first pet I got in adulthood and it was a hard goodbye for me. Seeing and feeling the compassion made it feel less lonely. I’ll be forever grateful for the kindness with every staff member that was with me. Thank you from the b
