Good Dog Retreat

I have to give Good Dog Retreat an A++ in the care and treatment of my fur babies as well as all the kind support and accommodations they made on my behalf. I am an independent farmer with over 200 animals I take care of by myself in the MD mountains on the PA line. I also work At an animal emergency hospital working crazy evening hrs. I had a horrible time getting the farm ready for my being away for almost a week. They were incredible especially Izzy listening to my daily issue of not having the farm ready to leave. They were so kind in ensuring my reservation was not cancelled and took the time to listen to my stressed out stories of what I was dealing with. I had not had a vacation since 2016. Great boarding our dog on short notice so we could go deep sea fishing. Dropped off our dog night before and picked up after fishing trip next afternoon. Wonderful staff and lovely facility. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I boarded our 2 dogs (GWP 2yrs and Basset hound 9months) for a week while vacationing in OBX and had an AMAZING experience. Staff was friendly, helpful, and took great care of our dogs. Our dogs had a great time! Will definitely use them again for our next OBX vacation.

We loved this place!! As an owner of 3 dogs I stress about having to leave them, but after meeting Mariel and her staff and taking a tour of their top notch facilities, I knew they would be in good hands. Everyone was so accommodating and pleasant and answered all questions. When we went to pick them up, the dogs seemed so relaxed and happy. I knew they had been well taken care of and had plenty of play time. My small pup was even being cuddled at the front desk and sitting on Mariel's lap. 🐾 We will definitely be bringing them back!
