I tried to rescue a bonded pair which turned out to be the most awful experience with this rescue. 💔 First there is no way to call when you try and fill out the application with questions as I found a few a lil confusing. For example " does any other adult's have pets in your home". I wrote "no" as it is me and my cat here. I DID indeed tell them I had a cat now. Its on their Facebook page commented under one of the kitties I was hoping to home. Between the multiple inquires (PetFinder Facebook their own personal website) I was confused and a simple call could had brought clarity. I sent photos of my living space which is a clean 2 level 2 bedroom apartment. Something after that made me uneasy when denied. I am a survivor of a home invasion. Now some place has all my information phot
My fiance and I adopted these two sweethearts from FuRRR and we couldn't be happier! FuRRR clearly takes good care of animals and cares where they end up. It's difficult to pick just one (or two or four) cats to take home- all their cats are so sweet and lovable. The volunteers & owners were very patient with us as we met each one of their furry friends in person. I would recommend FuRRR to anyone looking to adopt; just make sure you're serious & fill out the adoption paperwork on their website!
They were extremely rude during the application process. They refused my application because our litter boxes are covered and their “cats aren’t used to that.” I explained that we would be happy to remove the covers, but that didn’t matter. There’s no point in dealing with these heathens, they clearly do not want the cats to end up in good homes and would rather keep them in the shelter.
During the application process they requested pix of our apartment. Sure, to prove its clean and appropriate for a cat. We had a cat previously who passed a few months ago so his things are still in our apartment. We told them we're planning to replace/add items for the new cat. They said our 400 sq ft studio was too small and were confused by the bed in our living room. They went on for an entire paragraph telling us to get a litter box without a lid and to have 2 boxes for 1 cat... They were skeptical about whether the cats would use our cat tree and to add blankets to it so its more comfortable, and to add more cat beds in general (in my experience cats will will choose a cardboard box over plush bed...) they told us not to use collars, what specific kind of food to buy, where to place
Adopted 2 beautiful girl tabby's from them! Supposed to be bonded sisters but, at my home they have not acted bonded AT ALL. But no difference to me. It seems they like adopting out cats in pairs. Means more will live rather than dying in shelters. It's VERY difficult to get adults adopted during the madness of "kitten season"! It was clean, the cats healthy, adoption application processed very quickly. VERY reasonable adoption fee! Although the actual adoption paperwork was a bit rushed in mho because I wanted to review the information I had to sign AND the cats previous medical history. They are beautiful & wonderful cats who will take time to settle in around here but, they can go at their own pace. We love them & they are part of the family now! I would not hesitate to adopt a
