They made 3 careless mistakes that resulted in taking my dog’s life. She was 14.5 and healthy. She was my baby and my entire world and they knew it. She didn’t even need to have the tumor removed, it was precaution and they promised me it was completely safe. I trusted them. And they carelessly took her from me. I didn’t get to say bye. I am writing this review to warn other pet owners after an experience that resulted in the DEATH of our beloved dog, Missy, due to what constitutes gross NEGLIGENCE, extreme CARELESSNESS, and veterinary MALPRACTICE on the part of PAMELA O'REAR. On December 4, 2025, Missy was brought to Fry Road Animal Clinic for a procedure: a routine dental cleaning and removal of a tumor on her RIGHT paw, which we had been unable to conclusively test for cancer Missy also had a tumor on her LEFT paw, which had been evaluated multiple times over the past five years under the supervision of Pamela O’Rear and was well documented as benign and not requiring removal. They “mistakenly” killed a dog as the dog was waking up from anesthesia. They spent 4 hours removing the wrong growth. The “doctor” said “That’s my fault I didn’t look at the sheet saying which growth to remove it clearly states the right paw, I just assumed left because my tech put the IV on the wrong paw. I should’ve reviewed the notes it instead of assuming. Don’t worry, I won’t charge you for the other this will take me 10 minutes and I’ll wake her up” … 10 minutes later the “doctor” called saying “she was waking up so I gave her more anesthesia and that killed her”… no apologies nothing. I took Oliver to Fry Road Animal Clinic and had a really nice experience. Everyone was very kind and attentive from the moment we arrived. You could truly feel the care and love they have for animals—Oliver was treated with so much patience and gentleness, which means a lot to me as his mom. If you live in Katy or Cypress and you aren't going to Dr Brice.......you are doing your pet a disservice! The entire staff is amazing. My dogs love all of them. I always leave feeling better.
