Friends of the Bloomfield Township Animal Shelter

I am well aware of somebody working at the shelter taking Cleo and 3 kittens and dumping them outside last winter. Cleo was declawed. These babies had no survival skills ....as if dumping them outside wasn't bad enough in itself. Cleo had been a greeter at the shelter for 2 years. I am also aware that there have been live animals found in the bin for dead animals. How is this allowed to happen and not be addressed?..... so that no more animals will suffer at the hands of people who are supposed to be caring for them.

Cleo was gentle natured and loved humans, and in the end humans let her down. Dumping cats outside to die is no MISTAKE as some illy-fitted admins may describe, it is an INTENTIONAL ACT OF CRUELTY. Why they ever worked with animals when they didn't care if they lived or died is a mystery to us all. Hold those who inflict cruelty onto defenseless, sweet animals accountable. Completely unacceptable and sickening. Those individuals should never set foot near a shelter again, let alone be paid to work there without disciplinary action. Justice for Cleo!

Betsy at the animal shelter is amazing she worked tirelessly to find my dog a new home. I can't find the words to express the gratitude I have for her!

The actions of the shelter manager are deplorable. How does a human being paid to provide guidance and care for live creatures choose to throw a senior cat, Cleo, and three shelter raised kittens outside??? On top of it Cleo is declawed. Surely the Twp can find better ways to spend residents funding than on this man's salary. Whenhumanity fight back

Cannot find this place. The red markers on the site map only brings up the Friends of the Shelter (with the red bullseye marker), and it is not on Telegraph Rd. Could you at least give the cross roads through Telegraph to indicate WHERE the Shelter is actually at on Telegraph?
