We are so glad that we found Johanna at Four Legged Scholars. We went through the first level of basic training with our puppy Mocha. Johanna is a great teacher! We really appreciated learning with our puppy. At the end we felt very comfortable and confident that we could maintain and continue the training. Mocha did amazing on our recent trip which we drove 9-10 hrs there and back. I know it went smoothly because of Johanna's training. Training classes were held at the Chalet in Chardon. I highly recommend Johanna!! We are already signed up for the intermediate level.

Vega and I did the 10 class individualized training with Johanna, and it was amazing. She helped me understand how Vega thinks and interprets my communications-both voice and body-so I can communicate more effectively with her. I also loved that we could do classes both in person and via zoom, which was perfect because we were out of state for 2 months this summer. So the classes could continue. I highly recommend the positive approach Johanna uses. Great all the way around! The picture is Vega staying out of the dining room when people, food, and other dogs were all in the dining room.

Wow! Johanna is an outstanding trainer and human! She is incredibly knowledgeable and great at teaching regular people how to train and interact with their pups to achieve peace and harmony! I can't say enough great things about her process. The virtual training session we had today moved us forward in so many ways with our new puppy. Johanna recognizes our pups behaviors as well as our behaviors while training and, she provided us with the proper skills to achieve our goals! She has set us up for success with our new puppy, Nugget, who is completely deaf and partially blind. I'm so grateful to have found her and will continue to work with her and follow her direction! Max, our cocker spaniel, is a high energy 2 year old! We had gone through basic puppy training and he understood commands but we and he needed more guidance to channel his energy and improve his behavior. Johanna did just that! She is very knowledgeable and takes great care to understand you and your dog’s needs then develop a program to meet those needs. We had several online sessions and she helped us to understand his and our behavior. Max is much better behaved and we interact with him at a much higher level. Johanna has given us the tools to improve our experiences with Max. He also likes to pull on the leash when walking and we plan on working with Johanna again this summer. We would highly recommend her! Thank you for all of your help Johanna!

Johanna taught us so much about how to help our energetic puppy focus and be ready to learn! We took the elementary obedience course in Chardon, OH and it was a perfect intro to dog training for our whole family. Johanna is a clear communicator, caring, and so knowledgeable and we are looking forward to continuing our puppy training journey with her guidance.
