We always look forward to agility at Foley’s Dog Training. E is amazing—patient, funny, and great at bringing out the best in you and your dog. She takes helpful photos and videos, provides resources to guide your training, and truly makes every session count. She’s the trainer people hope to find.
I have been doing agility training with E at Foley’s Dog Training for two years. E makes it fun for pups and handlers with no pressure. She gives us direction and correction while also allowing us the space to figure it out. There’s no such thing in her class as failing or doing it badly. Her positive and genial attitude make class fun and rewarding. We have learned so much and, while my dog does not need confidence boosting, I do and she helps with that tremendously. Highly recommend!
E is an excellent dog trainer. My dog, Olive, was a highly reactive, anxious dog, who didn't have any public spaces accepting of her needs. The increasing rate of off leash dogs in our neighborhood made it harder and harder to safely exercise Olive. We turned to agility as a way to exert her energy in a safe environment. E provided just that! I couldn't have been happier to watch my Olive transform into a confident dog. She was still reactive, but had a deeper bench to make the better choice. Things that got better for us as a result of agility with E: - trips to the vet! Olive uses "paws up" to get on the scale and keep herself busy. - trips in the car. Olive learned that trips in the car always led to somewhere fun, including when we drove cross country. We used agility to play at each
Greyhounds aren't typically associated with agility, especially an older and very big greyhound, but E had Stavros going through the tunnel and up and over the A-frame in no time. While my boy won't be competing any time soon, his couple of lessons with E really helped his confidence and our bond (he was newly retired when we took classes with E). Stavros was always SO excited to be at E's place for his lessons even though he pooped out early almost every time, lol. E is very good about tailoring lessons to each dog and their person. I highly recommend, even if it's just for confidence building. E also has a great sense of humor and is really fun to work with.
E is the absolute best. As soon as we arrive at E's for agility our dog is energized, engaged, and full of joy. He loves the mental and physical challenge and I've loved witnessing his confidence grow with his lessons. E is an excellent instructor and provides so many great tips and games to help proof the skills. We've learned so much from E and couldn't recommend her enough.
