Fishhead Labs/Cherished Pet Autopsy and Discovery Services

As a veterinarian, I only have great things to say about Fishhead Labs. I submitted my own pet for necropsy after her fight with cancer and the compassion I received was beyond expectation. From initial phone consult, to pick up service, to preliminary lab results, to final report... I was absolutely taken aback by their sensitivity and professionalism. I have had several patients as well as colleagues who have submitted specimens to Fishhead Labs, and they have exceeded our expectations every single time.

I’ve never experienced a more compassionate, in depth necropsy on my pet like I have with this company. From the service pick up, to the report, they were very communicative, even spoke to me on the phone after with a few questions I had. In light of the misleading responsive comment left by the owner, I am updating my original review to respond to same. As I previously noted, dealing with this company has been a horrible experience; it’s run by a woman who seems to completely lack compassion. After having a negative experience with her several years ago, I was not eager to use her services again, but I put those feelings aside to attempt to get answers regarding my pet's recent passing and was mature and professional enough to do so. However, she apparently was not. They (she) refused to help in any way, adding to the trauma of losing my beloved pet. Not only was the staff very personable and empathetic. They took care of my pup as if it were their own and guided me through the process as if I was a family member. The care and compassion they provided during my hard time was absolutely unmatched! I’d recommend them to anyone and everyone!
