Featherbed Farm & Kennel LLC

We recently had to find a new place to take care of our dogs while we went on vacation since our regular dog sitter was not available. We decided to use Featherbed Kennels, which is located on a farm. While the owner's home looked well-maintained, we were disappointed to find out that the kennels themselves were not in good condition. They looked like an abandoned building, and the dog runs were cramped and lacked proper sanitation. Our poor dogs had to sleep next to their own waste, and the blankets and dog bed we left for them smelled like urine and had to be thrown away. To make matters worse, we arrived home late on a Saturday night and were not aware of the no pick up on Sunday policy. While I understand that this is the owner's policy, it was not made clear to us. Wendy was a great listener and very reassuring as I explained my dog's anxieties during drop off. After our conversation, my gut feeling was that he would be well cared for. Now that we have picked him up, I believe my gut feeling was right. I would feel very comfortable boarding our boy at Featherbed again!

I had a great experience with Featherbed Kennels when we went to Disney. I found out my pup had a great time too. Hoping to use them again in May.
