I went for my dog’s cherry eye, i can say my experience here was a 100/10 the whole staff is kind. Dr Bergen is the best im so glad I found them and have recommended all my friends with pets to come here if their pet has any eye issues. Paola the Vet tech was amazing as well and treated my fur baby so kindly as if it was her own. You might pay extra then your regular veterinarian since they are specialist but I say its 100% worth it. My Lola was under the best care ❤️🥰 they go above and beyond!

Dr Bergen is top-notch. She's articulate educated and experienced in her field and it shows. She answered every question I had and every concern was addressed with definitive comprehensive answers. Every aspect of the exam and recommended treatment was discussed very thoroughly and clearly. Dr Bergen utilizes models and charts to explain anatomy and effect of certain conditions. I was very relieved to find Dr Bergen because I am not a doctor and I don't know what to expect or how to proceed from beginning to end and we love our fur baby family member. But we don't want her to suffer needlessly and Dr Bergen made everything so clear and easy in order to make decisions. Dr. Bergen, Paola, Erica, Annaliese, and Carly have been incredible with me and my Boston Terrier, Louie. After a serious eye injury, Dr. Bergen first tried a less invasive approach to save his eye, and when that was not enough, she performed a debridement and graft surgery. Louie has been healing well, and she has been consistently communicative, supportive, and clear about what to expect throughout the process. I am truly grateful to the entire team for their care, compassion, and expertise in getting us through a scary situation. Thank you all so much.

We had an emergency eye issue with our cat. Primary vet said we needed to se ophthalmology specialist STAT. Called around and was told by multiple doctors that wait was about two Weeks. This was not acceptable to to extreme danger of pet losing her vision. We were told by one of the clinics to try the San Marcos location since they might be able to see us sooner. They were very accommodating and got us on same day. We are hopeful that our girl will respond to the medication we were prescribed, and make a full recovery. My experience with Dr. Bergen has been 10/10 for every visit since their opening in 2024 (if I recall correctly). She’s always kind, patient when answering my questions, and gentle with my family’s senior dog. Her assistants are also always kind and a pleasure to chat with every time they come in and do their thing. I just have one upsetting complaint from a recent experience with the staff in charge of approving prescriptions. Our senior dog is on 5 daily medications, including 3 eye meds recommended by Dr. Bergen. The most expensive one is her eye meds- Tacrolimus (AQ) eye drops. Their online pharmacy price was selling it for a much cheaper price compared to others, so I ordered it on 1/8/26.
