The staff at Exeter animal shelter are knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout the adoption process. Jensen is the absolute best and stayed connected with me months after I adopted my two cats this past winter. I don’t have enough kind words to say about this shelter and I recommend all my family and friends support and adopt here. Couldn’t be happier with my two fur babies!

The Exeter Animal Shelter is an amazing place! It's always clean and nice there. The staff and volunteers are the nicest people ever. They really care about there animals and who takes them home. All these people saying you should lie on the application and such don't understand how important it is to be truthful so the animal doesn't go to the wrong home. When you do put an application in be patient the staff are very busy all the time so it takes a little. You can 100% check in every once in a while but don't constantly bother and call. If you get denied don't be upset and leave bad reviews it's not the shelters fault and you can always try another shelter. We adopted our puppy from there and it wasn't difficult at all. We filled out the application and waited to see if we were approved.

Had such a lovely experience with the Exeter animal shelter. Jensen was so helpful and informative throughout the adoption process. I now have the sweetest new kitten I can’t thank them enough!

My husband and I did not end up adopting here because we fell in love with a cat at another shelter. However, before finding our current cat, I had reached out to this shelter two different times about specific cats over email. I was impressed that they responded so fast when some shelters are hard to get a hold of. On top of that, they called later on to follow up and encourage us to meet the cat. Even though we did not end up adopting here because we found our cat somewhere else, I was impressed with the communication and the encouragement.

I went there to donate my dog, Kayla's toys, bedding food and treats. She passed away June 2nd. The staff was great, sympathetic and appreciative of our donation. They have many dogs and cats up for adoption. It's worth taking the ride to give one of these animals a new chance for a happy life.
