Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge

We LOVE this place. We had a homeschool field trip for 15 people. I believe the guide's name was Grace. She did an outstanding job! We learned so much. The guy that works with Aries is VERY knowledgeable about raptors. We've been multiple times, but always learn so much each time. All of the ambassadors were awake and active. They are very friendly and interested in people. We got to pet Dwight (corn snake), Sheldon and Landlord (tortoises), and Gumbeaux (possum). The gift shop is so cute and features local artists instead of junk from China. When you purchase from their gift shop they receive part of the proceeds and you help a local starving artist! ;) I think because the center is off the main road, it is often overlooked when you think of Navarre. This is our favorite local wild animal rescue! The staff is so friendly, the animals are kept clean and clearly will cared for. Staff is wonderful about educating visitors and answering questions. My kids did the "critter camp" during the summer, we visit periodically, and most recently we participated in their Halloween event. Can't recommend supporting this place enough!

We had a great time. Everyone was really nice and personable. We got to see all the animals except the opossum. My son got to learn about the hawk in detail. My wife loved the raccoon. You can tell all the animals are well cared for. Ticket prices are fair.

Awesome little refuge that definitely care a lot about the animals in their care and the ones on the property. We loved seeing the animals there. Peggy the opossum was super sweet and we got to pet her, she was so gentle and chill. Owliver was super cute and Aries was so pretty, she even went swimming while we were there. The fox Squirrel was so fun, it just ran around and jumped, showing off to us. The girl who was working was super kind and I appreciate her generosity to show us different items and tell us about some of the animals.

A fun place with a great mission! You can see the animals that live there unable to be released in the wild and learn more about their mission helping animals. A great place to take the family or a youth group!! We took our Girl Scout troop on a special tour and they loved it!!
