Elmwood Grove Animal Hospital

I have had to be at this vet already 2x in the last 2’weeks. The staff is a great , mindful, sincere and all around thoughtful. They were able to get my dogs in immediately. One of them had to be put down and the doctor that saw him was amazing. She was very nice very kind very friendly and compassionate with my fur babies . The other doctor that we’ve seen yesterday was another amazing doctor. I am happy that this is the place that we have chose for our pets. Going forward.

Dr. D is wonderful! She’s very attentive and listens. She was great with my new adopted pup :) It’s a little pricy, but you get what you pay for, for sure! Standard visit was $99 and one medication for 10 days was around $50.

The animal hospital takes care of all my needs. Sometimes it’s hard to deal with my very anxious chihuahua but we discuss his needs and make decisions together on how to best get him the care he needs. Sometimes that means sedating him. When they do, they are gentle and make sure he is doing well during the process. They keep him a bit longer than my previous vet to make sure he comes out of it OK. I appreciate them very much.

Our 16yr old chihuahua had suffered a stroke, my family had to make the hard decision of putting him to sleep as he became immobilized. His usual vet was not available; however, I am so grateful I decided to call Elmwood Grove Hospital! I live nearby and pass them often, they were the first ones that came to mind. They were able to accommodate us the same day as we didn't want to prolong the suffering he was in. Everyone was so sweet, so empathetic and reassuring of the decision we made. All my interactions from Taylor on the call/ at the front desk to Dr. Kathleen Heneghan and Monte the vet assistant, were exceptional! It's also a very clean well maintained facility, I felt we were in good hands. Everything was explained thoroughly from how his remains would be handled to what to expect

My little girl is always thrilled to see this team. Admittedly she and other dogs are a bit shaky and might give them the side eye at first intro but my baby girl feels right at home now.
