Durham Veterinary Clinic

Hands down the best experience for our dog, Rudy! The entire staff was incredibly kind and took such great care of our boy. You could really tell how much they love and care for animals. We actually switched vets because our previous one always seemed to be trying to upsell us or make us feel guilty about treatments that didn’t feel necessary. We often left paying so much out of pocket, and honestly it made us hesitant to take him as often as we should have. That was not our experience at Durham Vet at all. Rudy was well taken care of, the staff was wonderful, and the cost was a fraction of what we would have spent at our old vet. We’re so thankful to have found a place we trust with our dog!

1/6/2026 Yesterday we took the newest addition, Smitty, to Durham Clinic for his series of puppy shots. We got this cutie to help fill the ache in our hearts when we lost Lobo, our Belgian of 18 years. We were seen by Emily and Dr. Brent who showed us they were happy to see the puppy and get him started off right and provided us with all the info and meds we need. We will always come to Durham because they are great doctors and staff who treat us like family. Great veterinary clinic and so glad they are in the neighborhood! 12/28/25 ; Every time we have gone to Durham our animals have been cared for promptly, with attention to details, and with compassion. Durham has always been so good to my dogs and me! They always let me know in advance when I need to schedule any shots, appts, etc. And they have seen me the same day for emergencies when I have called up there. Waylon and Kix are so happy they are their vet!

We are traveling. Our boy hurt his paw pad. I was conveniently able to make an appointment online after hours for the next day. Dr. Brent was awesome and even got down on the floor with our guy to evaluate and get him all fixed up. The girl who came in before the Dr was soooo nice!! I also forgot our dogs heartworm medicine. Our vet needed a heartworm test to send another script to Costco. They also did that for me here. They also had a cute booth for the animals to take a picture. Everyone here was so nice and caring!

This office is not the same under the new ownership. The level of care and communication I experienced was extremely disappointing. I brought my pet in twice seeking help, and unfortunately she did not survive. When I returned to request paperwork, there was no empathy, no apology, and no follow-up questions about what happened. During one of the most painful moments of my life, I was met with coldness and a lack of compassion. I truly do not understand how a place that claims to love and care for animals could treat a pet — and their owner — this way. Veterinary care should come with empathy and communication, and I did not receive either. I also experienced behavior that felt discriminatory and disrespectful. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office
