July 2025 Allen misdiagnosed my 2 year pup that was charted as Lyme positive on a previous visit at Allen's. He was actually in kidney failure and I took my pup to Allen and presented symptoms of excessive weight loss and not being able to keep any food or water down for over two weeks. Allen said the pup was a "perfect weight". I said because he was overweight and now he cant keep nothing down. No follow up scheduled, no test done. Allen said he "is not worried, give the dog ice cubes to lick, hes fine". Anyways a trip to the hospital in October 2025, he was diagnosed in severe kidney failure, complications of Lyme disease which could have been addressed in July if the correct actions would have been done then, since he was Lyme positive anyway. Dr. Allen and his staff are awesome at what they do. They went out of their way to help me with Pebbles. She was a feral, Dr. Allen fixed for me. She traded in her feral card on her own terms.... at her time of need, and mine they were there to put her out of her pain. She knew it was time.....she let me help her, as hard as it was. He confirmed what I assumed. She's no longer in pain. She was a great cat who loved the outdoors. I'm beyond blessed to Dr. Allen and his wonderful staff.

I brought my bird here a while ago (* I’m just now posting a review because there’s been bad ones recently). Dr. Allen is not nice at all. He wouldn’t get the cats out of the room, my small budgie was in a cage but it was still dangerous. I told him that I wanted them out of the room but he didn’t care at ALL. The cats kept bothering my bird, I had to keep them away from her. He didn’t really do anything. He just acted like I didn’t know how to feed my bird. He told me stuff about what she should be eating (which I already know because I’m fully educated on birds), how candles and perfume can kill birds, etc. He acted like I had no idea what I was doing. He also kept bringing up politics and he made some homophobic jokes about transgender people, specifically about teenagers who are transi

Doctor allen and all of his staff have always been very professional and acted with kindness to both me and all of my fur babies. Excellent care!! Cosmo loves all of the staff at Dr Allens!!!

He's not as good as people make him out to be. He will look at how much your dog/cat weighs tells you what to feed them if they need to lose weight. He can provide basic vaccinations and check for worms. He isn't very thorough he missed a diagnosis of worms if I didn't bring my dog back we might not have seen them. He won't look at your pets' teeth. Which are very important to their health especially their liver if infections happen attention to detail is not a skill he has.
